KRAHN Chemie to Distribute Aeropor Materials’ Fillers for AdhesivesKRAHN Chemie has entered into a new cooperation with Aeropor Materials in Viereth, Germany, the specialist for innovative lightweight aggregates. The agreement covers the distribution of AEROPOR® lightweight fillers in the Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, and Poland.

Suitable for Tile Adhesives

AEROPOR® is a mineral, closed-pored lightweight aggregate made from expanded aluminosilicates – a purely natural product. It has already been used for 8 years in numerous industries for diverse applications: from construction chemical products such as tile adhesives, floor screeds, plasters and mortars to paints and coatings, composites and refractory concrete.

"We are very pleased to be able to promote the innovative AEROPOR® hollow mineral spheres in the Benelux and Poland, further expanding our product portfolio. We are sure that our partnership will prove to be extremely successful", said Cristian Groenewegen, managing director KRAHN Chemie Benelux. "Thanks to our many years of experience with lightweight fillers, we can offer our customers comprehensive know-how as well as laboratory services to help them design their applications optimally using AEROPOR®."

Increase Yield and Improve Processing Quality

Due to their low-density, AEROPOR® aggregates make products decisively lighter, increase yield and improve processing quality. It possesses outstanding material properties: it is heat-insulating, flame retardant (temperature-resistant up to 950 degrees Celsius), odorless and durable. Furthermore, it is characterized by a low-water demand and a natural color. AEROPOR® is available in five-grain sizes from 45 to 1000 µm.

"With KRAHN, we have gained a renowned partner who will further strengthen our sales network with its competent technical service and in-depth knowledge of local markets”, said Frank Dennert, managing director of Aeropor Materials GmbH.

"Lightweight materials are becoming increasingly important in many industries. AEROPOR® is the result of our consistently future-oriented development work – an absolutely natural product, manufactured with renewable energies in an innovative expansion process without the use of gas, oil or chemical additives. We are convinced that our customers – existing as well as new – will benefit from the excellent KRAHN service and will be inspired to produce their products even more competitively and sustainably with AEROPOR®," added Dennert.
