LORD Corporation Appoints New Executive

LORD Corporation - a global developer and manufacturer of products and technologies that provide superior adhesion and bonding, control motion and minimize the effects of shock and vibration - recently appointed Lane R. Miller to Vice President, Global Technology.

Miller is responsible for all aspects of the process and product development, and research for the LORD Corporation - a technology-driven organization with more than 300 scientists, engineers, and technicians world-wide with technology centers in the U.S., England, Germany, Italy, Japan, and China. Having joined LORD in May 1979 as a research engineer specializing in active vibration control, Miller was promoted through various technical and managerial positions. Most recently, he held the position of Director, Mechanical and Process Technology. He received a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering Technology from the University of Pittsburgh, Johnstown, Pa., in 1979; a Master of Engineering in Engineering Science from The Pennsylvania State University, Behrend Campus in 1982; and a Ph.D. degree in Mechanical Engineering from North Carolina State University in 1988. Miller holds more than 15 patents in active control of vibration.
