Mactac New Label for Cold Food Packaging ApplicationsMactac® launches Wet Strength CHILL AT™ labels for cold food packaging and damp substrates applications. Wet Strength CHILL AT™ adhesive labels are designed using Mactac®’s hot-melt adhesive technology. The label is ideal for the food and beverage industry, especially craft beer market.

Improved Wet Strength for Moist Environment with New Labels


The new labels have improved wet strength for moist environment. The labels feature a 54# bright white facestock with a customer-preferred semi-gloss finish. Also, the labels have a built-in wet strength property for harsh environment during the application process and after-market life in coolers or food and beverage packaging.

The facestock is paired with Mactac®’s custom-engineered all-temperature Wet Strength CHILL AT™ high tack adhesive, which adheres to cold and damp package surfaces. Wet Strength CHILL AT™ is specially formulated for temperatures ranging from -65 to +150 degrees Fahrenheit. The labels are supported with 2.4-mil super calendared kraft liner for die-cutting, stripping and label dispensing.

The semi-gloss finish on Wet Strength CHILL AT™ labels is ideal for fine print applications. The versatile labels can be printed using flexographic, letterpress and offset printing methods with thermal or UV-cured ink systems.
