Philadelphia, PA, -- Rohm and Haas announced that it has received confirmation from ICC Evaluation Services that its Mor-Melt™ R-5022 hot melt adhesive complies with all applicable provisions of the 2003 International Building Code® (IBC), 2003 International Residential Code® (IRC), and 1997 Uniform Building Code® (UBC). This confirmation, as evidenced in the ICC-ES evaluation report ESR-2158, provides guidance to code officials faced with approving the use of Mor-Melt R-5022 under these codes.

Company spokesperson Larry Salcedo, Commercial Manager, Structural Adhesives, North America stated, "By offering this first ICC-listed reactive hot melt adhesive for panel lamination, Rohm and Haas is able to assure top bonding performance for continuous laminating technology for manufacturers of structural panels. Users expect batch-to-batch formulation consistency with this moisture curing polyurethane reactive hot melt adhesive." Beta-tests have confirmed excellent bonding with facings of plywood, OSB, primed aluminum and steel, wood, FRP, and cores of expanded and extruded polystyrene, as well as polyisocyanurate foam and paper honeycomb.
