Avery Dennison Launches Lamination Adhesives to Maintain Information IntegrityAvery Dennison Performance Tapes has launched lamination adhesives portfolio, which enables durable labels to maintain information integrity through product lifetime. These laminations preserve messaging and instructions such as safety warnings, operating instructions, serial numbers and warranty information which allows them to remain legible on products, many of which are designed to have a product life of more than three years.

Key Features of Lamination Adhesives Portfolio

Lamination adhesives are designed to help labels resist exposure to potential harsh conditions that include solvents/chemicals, UV light, heat, cold, rain or water. The Performance Tapes portfolio offers a selection of pressure-sensitive adhesive tape constructions that meet a wide range of needs.

The Lamination Adhesives Portfolio is also designed to help converters deliver small quantity solutions, enabling them to access low minimum order quantities (750 feet per roll) in order to fulfill specific customer needs.

Product categories that will benefit from the Lamination Adhesives Portfolio include:

  • Automotive
  • Durable Goods
  • Electronics and Computers
  • White Goods
  • Outdoor Power Equipment

Featured products include:

  • Silicone laminates, which perform well under heat and environmental exposure.
  • High Performance Acrylics (HPA™) for applications such as graphics and NVH (noise, vibration and harshness).
  • 720 DL W PET for buried graphic label applications, where the inside of the label’s face stock is printed with the adhesive laminated to the face—for a balance of adhesion and shear.

Protecting the label by solving a variety of adhesion issues, such as: low surface energy (LSE) adhesion, chemical resistance, and bonding to textured and differential surfaces, is key across this spectrum of applications” said Chris Blackwell, Product Manager, Print and Packaging, Avery Dennison Performance Tapes North America. “This new portfolio helps us meet our goal of bringing value to our converter customers that in turn, helps them provide the most cost-effective solution to their customers.”
