DAP has launched Sound Block™ E90, a sound block, acoustical, draft and smoke sealant for the construction industry. The sealant is designed to reduce sound transmission and improve sound transmission class (STC) ratings in the sound-rated wall and floor systems.
Acoustical Sealant with Multi-material Adhesion
Sound Block™ E90 is an easy to use acoustical sealant for sealing top and bottom runners, openings around electrical boxes, pipes, duct systems, utility equipment penetrating wall surfaces, cut-outs, perimeter joints edges, including abutting surfaces and corner joints.
The sealant improves productivity with the easy gun formula that reduces fatigue, two-hour paintability, strong multi-material adhesion and non-sagging formula. The sealant also has outstanding cold weather performance by remaining flexible to endure expansion and contraction caused by temperature and weather extremes without cracking or losing adhesion.
Sealant Reduces Smoke Migration and Drafts
The sealant passes industry standards, such ASTM E90, C919 and E84/UL723, for sound transmission and reduces smoke migration and drafts. The sealant is designed to work smoothly in all temperatures and maintains excellent adhesion on a variety of substrates.
Sound Block™ E90 is packaged in 28 fl. oz. plastic cartridge that holds up to weather, transit and use. The sealant offers easy water clean-up, low odor, VOC compliance and does not discolor over time.
