Published on 2019-04-08. Edited By : SpecialChem

Dupont-structural DuPont Transportation & Advanced Polymers (T&AP) demonstrated lightweighting and alternative drivetrain technologies that are essential to achieving sustainable mobility goals during the Plastics in Automotive Engineering (PIAE) show in Mannheim, Germany.

Structural Adhesives for Delivering Ease of Assembly

The automotive industry is working continuously on innovative light-weight solutions combined with parts and functions integration to help reduce fuel consumption and carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions.

DuPont T&AP featured advanced polymers and structural adhesives that deliver ease of assembly, long-term durability and strong, lightweight, electrically-friendly solutions for HEV and EV applications.

A Complete Package System for Automotives

DuPont T&AP offered a complete package system for automotive structural parts combining:
  • Adhesives
  • Engineering plastics
  • Plastic metal hybrid solutions
  • Rubber to substrate bonding agents

They bring strong expertise in designing components and processing support.

Experts from DuPont hosted an interactive workshop during PIAE to spotlight material developments and design optimization of thermoplastic structural parts to speed prototyping and improve the performance of finished parts.
