Jowat will exhibit its packaging adhesives at Fruit Logistica 2024 held in Berlin, Germany from February 7 through 9, 2024. Jowat will also showcase its sustainable alternatives.
Fruit Logistica is a trade show for the fresh produce industry. The exhibition focuses on application technology, logistics and the crucial role of powerful and reliable adhesives in ensuring the secure packaging and transport of fresh produce.
Solutions for Demanding Packaging Needs
Jowat is a supplier for bonding trays, cases or folding boxes across diverse application scenarios. The product portfolio includes hot melt adhesives of the Jowat-Toptherm® brand. Jowat-Toptherm® 851.10 is the product of choice for bonding demanding surfaces (e.g. coated). Apart from being very clean in processing due to the accurate cut-off of the adhesive string at the nozzle, it also impresses with a high resistance to cold.
The adhesive has been used also for products that require a cooled supply chain to remain fresh until they reach their destination. Jowat-Toptherm® 851.15 is suitable for demanding conditions such as strong restoring forces, short pressing times and high temperatures. The adhesive is preferably used for the packaging of products that have to cover long distances from the producer.
Jowat-Toptherm® 851.20 is suitable for cases that have to be stored or closed in full sun. This powerful polyolefin (PO) hot melt adhesive impresses with the highest heat resistance in the Jowat portfolio. Coupled with very high initial strength, it can also master bonding operations with high tensile forces and very short pressing times, for example the packaging of heavy produce such as mangoes or watermelons.
Sustainable Hot Melt Adhesives
The Jowat Green Adhesives product family offers a range of alternative hot melt adhesives for customers aiming to increase the sustainability of their processes. The packaging adhesives of the Jowatherm® GROW product range, for example, contain certified proportions of renewable raw materials based on pine resin. In addition to containing 33% biobased raw materials, Jowatherm® GROW 853.20 can be processed at temperatures starting from 120°C. Jowatherm® GROW 853.22, contains 51% biobased raw materials. In addition, the wide range of adhesion also facilitates reliable bonding on demanding surfaces.
