Panacol Launches UV Cure Adhesives for Battery Packs of Electric CarsPanacol launches three UV cure adhesives - Vitralit® UV 2113, Vitralit® UV 2114 and Vitralit® UD 8050 for cell contacting systems (CCS) and battery packs. The adhesives protect welded joints on CCS and battery packs of electric cars from corrosion.

The flexible adhesives enable vibration-resistant connections and have a low ion content. The adhesives provide mechanical support and compensate for the thermal expansion of various materials.

Media and Temperature Resistant Adhesives

Vitralit® UV 2113 and Vitralit® UV 2114 are characterized by high adhesion to various materials. The adhesives meet the media and temperature resistance requirements of the automotive industry.

The rheological properties of Vitralit® UV 2113 and Vitralit® UV 2114 can be adapted according to the requirements. Fluorescent adhesive variations for optical process control are also available. The adhesives are cured with UVA or visible range light. Gas discharge lamps and LED spot systems can be used for curing the adhesives.

Dual curing Vitralit® UD 8050 is ideal for complex CCS geometries with shadowed areas. After UV irradiation, the ion-pure acrylate adhesive post-cures in the shadowed areas by reacting with humidity in the air.
