Irganox® 1098

Irganox® 1098 is a sterically hindered phenolic antioxidant. It contains N,N’-hexane-1,6-diylbis(3-(3,5-di-tert-butyl-4-hydroxyphenylpropionamide). It is an efficient, non-discoloring stabilizer for organic substrates. Provides excellent processing and long-term thermal stability as well as excellent initial resin color. It has excellent compatibility with polyamides and other substrates and low volatility. Irganox® 1098 is compatible with polymers such as polyacetals, polyesters, polyurethanes, adhesives, elastomers as well as other organic substrates. Its recommended addition level in polyacetals, polyesters, polyurethanes, saturated and unsaturated rubbers range from 0.05-0.5% and in polyamide molded articles, fibers, and films at concentrations of 0.05-1.0%. It is listed in AICS, DSL, EINECS, ENCSI, ECL, PICCS and TSCA. It is approved in many countries for use in food contact applications.
