BENTONE® DS

BENTONE® DS by Elementis is a beneficiated hectorite clay used as a rheology modifier for water-borne adhesives. Improves flow properties, surface quality and slump/ sag resistance, and reduces stickiness. Provides easier troweling, promotes fast water release and optimizes water stability of the finally cured system. It can be used as a partial replacement for cellulose ether. Prevents hard settlement of pigments/ fillers, reduces syneresis and minimizes floating/ flooding of pigments. BENTONE® DS has a shelf life of 4 years and typical addition levels of 0.2-2 %wt.
