2-(2’-hydroxy-5’-methylphenyl) benzotriazole. Acts as a light stabilizer/UV absorber. It has excellent photo stability to polymers against UV light exposure in many ways i.e. retarding color yellowing, preventing embrittlement and maintaining of mechanical properties etc. Shows very good compatibility with polymers and offers very high heat resistance, without significant degradation or volatility at proper extrusion temperature. It is particularly effective in styrene polymers, PVC, unsaturated polyesters, polyurethane, acrylic polymers adhesives.
