Surfynol® AS 5040

Surfynol® AS 5040 by Evonik is a non-ionic, non-foaming dynamic wetting agent. It is suitable for waterborne adhesives applications. It is a 100% active, easy-to handle liquid that contains no added solvents, siloxanes, silicones, fluorosurfactants, alkylphenol ethoxylates (APEs) or hazardous air pollutants (HAPs). It provides surface tension reduction and enhances rapid penetration of absorbent substrates. It enables wetting of low-energy and contaminated substrates. Surfynol® AS 5040 is used in flexible food packaging adhesives and pressure sensitive adhesives. Its recommended usage is between 0.1 and 2.0% of total formulation weight. It is in compliance with food contact regulations of US, Europe and Asia. It has a shelf life of 60 months.
