ZB-467 by Lanxess is a zinc borate-based flame retardant/smoke suppressant in polyamides, PVC, polyethylene, polypropylene, epoxy, polyesters, elastomers and rubber based formulations. It possesses very little pigmenting power (tinting strength), minimizing pigment loading and in translucent formulations. ZB-467 also finds applications as an afterglow suppressant and anti-arcing agent. It is used in adhesives. the shelf life of this additive is 6-12 months.
