ECA-29

ECA-29 by Huntsman acts as curing agent for epoxy resins. It is a blend of aliphatic polyamines derived from ethylenediamine. It is used in applications where high Tg (glass transition temperature) and fast reactivity are needed with longer pot-life. It has slightly lower peak exotherm temperature and provides good working time until gelation. It can increase the level of crosslinking in fully cured epoxy due to its high functionality. ECA-29 is recommended to produce thermoplastic polyamide resins for hot-melt adhesives. It is suitable for sealants. It is listed in DSL (Canada) and United States (TSCA).
