PowerNox™ 1726 by TinToll (PCC Group) is a multifunctional antioxidant which combines the function of a hindered phenolic antioxidant and a thioether antioxidant for water-based adhesives. It is a 2, 4-bis (dodecylthiomethyl)-6-methylphenol. It is ideal for protection of substrate against processing and long-term thermal degradation. It can be used alone at low levels without co-stabilizers to provide both processing and long-term heat aging stability. It can be applied particularly in adhesives, especially hot melt adhesives (HMA) based on unsaturated polymers such as SBS or SIS, and solvent born adhesives (SBA) of elastomers such as natural rubber and chloroprene rubber. It is also suitable for sealants.
