Hydroxypropylcarbamate Acrylate 70% in Ethanol (HPCA 70 %) by BASF is a methacrylate monomer. It forms homopolymers and copolymers which can be prepared with acrylic acid (& its salts), amides, esters, methacrylates, acrylonitrile, maleic acid esters, vinyl acetate, vinyl chloride, vinylidene chloride, styrene, butadiene, unsaturated polyesters and drying oils. It imparts hardness, scratch resistance and crosslinking to polymers. Hydroxypropylcarbamate Acrylate 70% in Ethanol (HPCA 70 %) readily undergoes addition reactions with a wide variety of organic and inorganic compounds, hence it is also very useful feedstock for chemical syntheses.
