N-vinyl-2-pyrrolidone monomer. It is colorless to slightly yellowish transparent liquid. Reactive and susceptible to hydrolyzation and polymerization. Soluble in water and a variety of organic solvents. It is an important monomer for varieties of homopolymers and copolymers. Also used in manufacture of adhesives.
