DISPERCOLL® U XP 2682

Technical Datasheet | Supplied by Covestro
It is an aqueous anionic polyurethane dispersion. It provides excellent adhesion to plasticized PVC and other plastics, good heat resistance and compatibility with many compounding ingredients, including resin dispersions, emulsifiers and thickeners. Its adhesion and utility in heat-reactivation bonding applications is accomplished through a crystalline polyester polyol backbone. Dispercoll® U XP 2682 is based on aliphatic polyisocyanates and therefore offers good resistance to discoloration. Has high-performance, high-molecular-weight, outstanding bonding properties on most synthetic and natural materials and rapid strength development. It reduces solvent emissions into the atmosphere and reduces the fire hazards associated with most solvent-based adhesives. Used in the formulation of heat-activated adhesives for uses in the packaging, furniture, automotive or footwear industries. Its recommended bond line temperature to allow the dried adhesive layer to be fully activated for bonding is ca. 50 – 60 °C.
