Surlyn™ 1601 by Dow is ionomer of ethylene acid copolymer with its acid groups partially neutralized with sodium ions. Used as a seal layer in flexible packaging. Possesses very good hot tack strength, low sealing temperatures and wide sealing temperature range. Surlyn™ 1601 offers good formability, clarity and oil and grease resistance.
