Polymer OR 501

Polymer OR 501 by Evonik is a base polymer for non-staining, condensation-curing silicone formulations. Designed for low-modulus sealants and adhesives. Suggested for natural stone applications when the use of silicone oils as plasticizers is not advised. It is useful in avoiding discolorations in the edge zones of the glued joint which may be worsened by adhering dust due to the “blotting-paper effect”. It substitutes the base polymer (hydroxyl-terminated siloxane) and the silicone plasticizer in formulations. It is listed with chemical inventories including EINECS/ ELINCS, TSCA, DSL, ENCS, AICS, TCCL, PICCS, IECSC, New Zealand and TCSI. Shelf life of Polymer OR 501 is 12 months at 30°C.
