EPON™ Resin 58005 by Westlake Epoxy is an elastomer modified epoxy functional adduct. It is formed from the reaction of the diglycidyl ether of bisphenol A and a carboxyl terminated butadiene-acrylonitrile elastomer. The primary use is the modification of conventional epoxy systems to increase flexibility, adhesion properties and fatigue resistance. It displays higher peel & shear strengths and thermal shock resistance. It is suitable for high performance adhesives. The shelf life of EPON™ Resin 58005 is 3 years.
