KURARAY POVAL™ 27-95

KURARAY POVAL™ 27-95 by Kuraray is a medium hydrolyzed polyvinyl alcohol (PVOH) grade. It is designed for modification of emulsion adhesives and remoistenable adhesives in the paper processing industry. It exhibits good bonding strength and pigment binding capacity. It is used as an adhesive promoter. It provides good cohesion and adhesion to fibers, fillers and pigments. Aqueous solution of KURARAY POVAL™ 27-95 can be added to polymer emulsion which is already stabilized with polyvinyl alcohol to extend the open time, increase setting speed and influence the rheology. This grade is suitable for use in postage stamps and labels.
