Rhenosin® RB

Rhenosin® RB by Lanxess is novolak-based phenol formaldehyde resin. It is used as a reinforcing resin in solid rubbers for oil-resistant seals. It possesses efficiency as a hardener in NR, SBR, BR and EPDM to increase mix viscosity and in NBR to decrease mix viscosity. It increases vulcanizate hardness and can be used in combination with a hardener to reduce scorch time, tensile strength, change vulcanization pattern and increase elongation at break. The dosage level of Rhenosin® RB is 5-15 phr. The storage stability of the grade is 730 days.
