POP (Para octyl phenol) formaldehyde resin (Novolac). Acts as a heat reactive thermoplastic alkyl phenolic resin for adhesives. It is a vulcanising and curing resin. It is used for cross linking and curing of butyl rubber that is used in adhesives based on butyl rubber. Has applications in rubber adhesives.
