Heat Seal Coatings Need Anonymity

SpecialChem / May 1, 2012

Sometimes it's better not to attract attention – and that can definitely be the case for food, drink and pharmaceutical packaging produced using heat seal coatings. For adhesive formulators and packaging producers, the desired outcome is that people consume what's in a heat-sealed package and discard it without a second thought. That would mean it has provided a hermetic seal, protected the product against the environment, and preserved flavor successfully. If consumers' attention is drawn to the laminated film, pouch or blister-pack, that's likely because it's failed in one of these jobs.
