What Alternative to Polychloroprene?

SpecialChem / May 1, 2009

PolyChloroprene has been a raw material largely used in contact adhesive formulations. As a perfect balance between cost/easiness to formulate and performance it has been the technology of choice in related markets. But times have changed. In the past few years this product has become less and less available, generating a big crisis in some markets. It has forced formulators and marketers to adapt to the situation, to change formulations, and to convince the market to accept changes of technology (often with a change in performances)
