Sasolwax Paraffin and Microcrystalline Waxes in Hot Melt Adhesives

Brochure | Supplied by Sasol

Sasolwax paraffin waxes are blends of saturated hydrocarbons, purified by hydrogenation which is a modern, environmentally friendly technology. They impart excellent flexibility and softness to the hot melt adhesive, particularly in bookbinding applications.

The low viscosity of paraffin and microcrystalline waxes is used to reduce the high viscosity of the polymer and resin to adjust the viscosity and optimize the rheological behavior of the adhesive formulation and to ensure sufficient mixing.
