Eastman™ Butyl Acetate

Eastman™ Butyl Acetate by Eastman is a readily biodegradable, medium boiling ester solvent. It offers good solvent activity, high electrical resistance and low MIR value, surface tension and water solubility.

It is recommended for film-formers such as cellulose acetate butyrate, nitrocellulose, polyesters, epoxies, alkyds, vinyl copolymers, and acrylic resins.
It is widely used in nitrocellulose lacquers, readily dissolving the resin and imparting good flow properties.
It provides quick drying lacquer without inducing blushing under normal circumstances.
It shows medium evaporation rate and mild odor.
It is recommended for adhesives/sealants - b&c.
Eastman™ Butyl Acetate is non-HAP, non-SARA and REACH compliant.
