BENTONE® 57 by Elementis is a highly efficient and cost-effective rheological modifier. It is an organic derivative of bentonite clay designed for high-polarity organic systems. Increases the viscosity and film thickness. Improves the flow and leveling. Prevents pigments settling during storage and syneresis in thixotropic systems. It has a shelf life of 4 years and is used in adhesives and mastic compounds. Typical use levels of BENTONE® 57 are between 0.4 % and 2 % dry based on total system weight.
