RHEOLATE® 101

RHEOLATE® 101 by Elementis is an alkali-swellable acrylic associative thickener. It is chemically identical to the active component in RHEOLATE® 1 rheological additive. Designed for water-borne adhesives and sealants at a typical use level of 3%. compatible with clay-based thickeners, cellulosics and urethane associative thickeners. Shows high thickening efficiency in the medium-shear-rate range and imparts excellent pigment suspension properties. Improves the freeze/thaw stability and corrosion resistance. It is easily incorporated dry as a powder in the mill-base or as a pregel in water. Provides good anti-settling properties, enzyme resistance and reduced syneresis. RHEOLATE® 101 has a shelf life of 2 years.
