Nordmann & Kraton Expand Pine-based Resin Distribution in EuropeNordmann is expanding its partnership with Kraton Corporation in the field of pine-based resin products.

As of now, Nordmann distributes Kraton's portfolio of pine chemicals and specialty resins for applications in the paint, coatings and adhesives industry in a wide number of European countries*.

Bio-based Alternative with Lower Carbon Footprint


Kraton is a manufacturer of pine chemicals and specialty resins based on crude tall oil (CTO) and crude sulfate turpentine (CST). The company offers bio-based alternatives that are characterized by better performance and a lower carbon footprint compared to fossil-based materials.

Kraton leverages the symbiosis between forestry and manufacturing to develop sustainable solutions that can be found in everyday products.

Diverse Selection of Ingredients


The portfolio, which Nordmann will distribute in the expanded territory, includes a wide range of products for applications in the paint, coatings and adhesives industry: – From resins, dispersions, hot melt polyamides, special esters and terpenes to rosin soaps – with this expansion, Nordmann offers its customers an even more diverse selection of innovative ingredients.

The products at a glance:

  • Rosin esters: First choice as a tackifier for example in hotmelt, water based or solvent based adhesives – for packaging, woodworking and PSA application
  • REvolution™: A new rosin ester product line that provides excellent color and oxidation stability
  • AMS resins: Offer excellent adhesion and resistance for applications in the adhesives industry for example for hotmelts in packaging, book binding, nonwovens and assembly
  • AMS phenolic resins: Are characterized by their high temperature resistance and chemical stability
  • Dispersions: Offer a wide range of possible applications, with good compatibility to natural and synthetic latex in pressure sensitive and non pressure sensitive adhesives, sealants and coatings

  • Styrenated terpenes: Ideal for demanding formulations of adhesives and coatings due to the excellent adhesion and flexibility
