Recycling-friendly Adhesives for Ecological Products
In its milestone anniversary year, Jowat will showcase a range of bio-based and recycling-friendly hot melts at Empack 2019 in Dortmund. It will be the first time the adhesives specialist is presenting a complete portfolio of sustainable adhesives based on raw materials sourced from renewable resources.
The products also meet the recommendations for recyclable adhesive applications by the European Paper Recycling Council. Jowat uses this competence to support processors when it comes to ecological and recyclable packaging – entirely in the spirit of the new
packaging law that came into force on 1 January 2019.
Efficient & Resource-saving Bonding Processes for Sustainability
However,
sustainability at Jowat goes far beyond replacing synthetic raw materials with renewable ones. Efficient and resource-saving bonding processes are the declared aim already when the product is being developed.
Low-temp hot melts, for instance, can facilitate a reduction of energy consumption and optimize the working environment under health aspects.
