RHEOBYK® -7420 CA

RHEOBYK® -7420 CA by BYK is easy to handle rheology modifier designed for adhesives and sealants. It is solution of a modified urea which is hygroscopic in nature.

It prevents sedimentation, as well as syneresis effects in filled systems.
When used in higher dosages, it enables an improvement of anti-sagging properties.
It forms a thixotropic flow behavior, which increases the viscosity at a low shear rate, but does not affect the application properties at a high shear rate.
It is suitable for use in highly polar and aqueous binder systems.
Recommended dosage level is 0.2-1% based upon the total formulation to prevent settling and 0.5-2.5% to prevent sagging.
RHEOBYK® -7420 CA has a shelf life of 18 months.
