Chiguard® BP-12 by Chitec Technology is a 2-hydroxy-4-n-octyloxybenzophenone. Acts as an ultraviolet (UV) light absorber. Offers protection from losing elasticity & mechanical strength, brittleness, yellowing, color change, change in physical properties (elongation, impact and tensile strength) and appearance of dark spots. Compatible with low & high density polyethylene, natural & pigmented polypropylene (0.25% to 0.5% dosage) and plasticized & non-plasticized polyvinyl chloride (PVC). Chiguard® BP-12 is used in adhesives.
