Technical Datasheet | Supplied by Munzing
Non-ionic polyurethane in butyltriglycol/water. Acts as rheology modifier. Its associative thickening effect can be affected by many factors including binder type, co-solvents, coalescing agents, surfactants, wetting agents, pigments and flattening agents. TAFIGEL® PUR 44 interaction with these compounds allows varied possibilities for rheology adjustment. It can be added undiluted to the grind and before adding the binder. It builds up and stabilizes viscosity by forming a network between polyurethane, binder molecules and pigment particles. Has levelling, thickening independent of pH and good flow. Used in aqueous systems and joint fillers. Its normal dosage ranges from 0.3 - 2% based upon total formulation.
