KURARAY POVAL™ 13-88 by Kuraray is a partially saponified polyvinyl alcohol (PVOH) grade. It is suitable for modification of emulsion adhesives and remoistenable adhesives in the paper processing industry. It exhibits good cohesion and adhesion to fibers, fillers and pigments. It offers good bonding strength and pigment binding capacity. Aqueous solution of KURARAY POVAL™ 13-88 can be added to polymer emulsion which is already stabilized with polyvinyl alcohol to extend the open time, increase setting speed and influence the rheology. It has a shelf life of 12 months.
