BYK® -P 2720

BYK® -P 2720 by BYK acts as a rheology modifier for solvent-free and solvent-borne amine hardeners to enhance the rheological properties of two-component systems in combination with hydrophilic fumed silica (thixbooster). Used in epoxy resin-based adhesives and sealants. It is a highly branched polymer amine.

• When paired with other additives from the Viscosity Control Technology product line, direct control of the initially viscosity of the components and the application viscosity of the entire system is possible.
• The only way to ensure a spontaneous viscosity build-up after mixing and to enable a stable application in very thick layers with good anti-settling behavior is by combining the matching additives.
• Recommended dosage level of BYK® -P 2720 is 5 to 50%.
• It has shelf life of 36 months.
