2-(3', 5'-di-t-amyl-2'-hydroxyphenyl) benzotriazole. Acts as ultraviolet light absorber and light stabilizer. It has high solubility that makes it particularly useful for stabilizing polyolefins, styrenics and urethanes. Compared to other UV absorbers, HXA UV-328 is more solvent soluble. It has better resin compatibility and washfastness, is less volatile, and provides a degree of stabilization that is generally equal to or better than other members of the family. It is widely used in two-component epoxy, thermosetting acrylic enamel etc. Has applications in adhesives.
