Preventol® DP 18 (Old Name: BIOCHEK® 722) by LANXESS is an in-can preservative of aqueous systems. It is an organic solvent-, formaldehyde-, isothiazolinone- and VOC-free grade. It is a light-colored aqueous dispersion of the biocidal active ingredients DBDCB and BNPD. It offers a broad spectrum of activity against bacteria, mold fungi and yeast. It provides alkaline stability up to pH 9 & thermal stability up to 60°C. It is particularly suitable for applications in which products with a low or zero VOC content are to be protected. It is used in glues and adhesives. Preventol® DP 18 has a shelf life of 1 year.
